అంటూ కిషోర్ కుమార్ స్వరంలోనుంచి నిరాశతో కూడిన మధురరాగంలో జాలువారిన ఈ పాట 1956 లో వచ్చిన Funtoosh అనే సినిమాలోది. ఈ పాటను వ్రాసినది సాహిర్ లూదియాన్వి అయితే సంగీతం ఇచ్చింది మధుర స్వర సామ్రాట్ S.D.Burman.
ఈ పాట వయసు 60 ఏళ్ళు. అయినా మనం ఈనాడు దీనిని వింటూ పాడుకుంటూ ఉన్నామంటే మధుర రాగాలకున్న శక్తి ఇదే కదూ ?
జగ్జీత్ సింగ్ తనిచ్చిన Close to my Heart అనే కచేరీలో ఈ పాటను కూడా తనదైన విధానంలో ఆలపించాడు.నేను కొంత కిషోర్ కుమార్ నూ కొంత జగ్జీత్ సింగ్ నూ కలిపి ఈ పాటను నాదైన స్టైల్లో పాడాను.
మనవాళ్ళు అసాధ్యులు. 1957 లో వచ్చిన మాయాబజార్ అనే తెలుగు సినిమాలో 'నీకోసమే నే జీవించునది' అని ఘంటసాల, పి.లీల పాడిన పాట దాదాపుగా ఇదే రాగంతో ఉంటుంది మరి. అయితే రాగాలు ఎవరి సొత్తూ కాదనుకోండి !!
